Why we chose this name

Behind the name

puln-puln is the indigenous word used by the Wurundjeri clan to describe the “Superb Lyrebird”.  The Wurundjeri peoples are native to the region known as ‘Ferntree Gully’, Victoria, as is the puln-puln.

Found both on the Australian 10c piece and the $100 note, the puln-puln displays an attractive array of ornate tail feathers for courting purposes and notably, one of the most sophisticated voice skills within the animal kingdom.

Characteristics of the puln-puln we are proud to embrace are:

  • It’s tenacity in it’s daily quest to achieve consistency and purity in it’s mimicking of sounds;

In addition to some clever ideas, design work requires a high level of attention to detail, clarity, perseverance and mimicry.

  • It’s daily practice of mimicry to develop and hone it’s own genuine/honest sound;

We strive consistently and uncompromisingly to perfect our craft as a means to forging a unique and improved service.

  • Its conscientious work ethic – the puln-puln is unique in that it’s efforts benefit the ecosystem of it’s habitat far beyond it’s own needs.

Puln-puln wants to do well by itself, it’s customers and beyond, creating conscious design through well considered actions to enquire efficiency and sustainability for all.
